Kathmandu Metro has given directions to the concerned educational institutions within the Metro to provide scholarships to the new session of class 11 by specifying quotas based on merits as selecting students who came from public schools, backward areas, tribal, poor, etc.

According to the provisions of the 'Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075' and the 'Education Regulations, 2074', Private schools are taking student selection examinations for the scholarship, But from 2080-81 Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to conduct the student selection examination for the scholarship.
For this purpose, all the educational institutions that enroll students in class 11 under Kathmandu Metropolitan City are informed to send the number of students enrolled in class 11 in the academic session 2079-080 by the end of this year. Also, in the past, there is an experience of publishing short-term notices by educational institutions regarding the admission of students in class 11 by setting different admission schedules. This has drawn the attention of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City to the complaint that students coming to Kathmandu for admission from remote areas of the country are deprived of the opportunity to apply.
In this regard, all the educational institutions are informed to schedule the admission program for class 11th or equivalent level so that they can apply at least 15 days from the date of publication of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results.
